Kolkata Moving Problems We Plan For

Narrow lanes

Many lanes in north and south Kolkata fit only a small goods vehicle. We either send a small vehicle to your door or park the truck on the main road and shuttle the goods. This is decided at the survey, not on moving day.

Buildings without lifts

Older buildings in areas like Dum Dum, Baguiati, Behala and Jadavpur often have three or four floors and no lift. We send enough crew for stair carrying and include it in the written quote.

Monsoon and waterlogging

In the rainy season we use sealed cartons and tarpaulin covers, and if a lane is under water we shift the time slot rather than risk your goods.

Traffic and building rules

We load early in the morning or in the evening to avoid peak traffic, and we check housing society rules on lift booking and moving hours in complexes in Salt Lake, New Town and Rajarhat.

Do I need to pay an advance?

Do you work on Sundays and holidays?

Can I pack myself and book only labour and a vehicle?

Yes. You can choose full packing with our material or only labour and a vehicle.

What if something is damaged?

Fragile items are packed with foam, bubble wrap and double-wall cartons. For high-value goods, ask us about the transit insurance option at the survey.
